LeOni's Pickled Peppers

or pickled carrots/cauliflower

2 Quart water
1 Quart white distilled vinegar
1/2 cup salt (not iodized)
1 tsp. powdered alum

bring to boil-pour over vegetables
(carrots, peppers, cauliflower, onion)

seal - water bathe pints 15-20 minutes
